( Latin: Gastrodes ferrugineus)
This is an example of an insect which has nothing to do in a house, but which may be brought indoors from time to time.
It is a bug that lives in coniferous forests where it can be found under the bark of trees. In winter large numbers of these bugs live in fallen spruce cones, and if a number of these are collected for decoration it is quite easy for the bugs to find their way into the house.
