Integrated control that combines prevention and control will always require a higher degree of transparency than regular pest control, simply because more people are actively involved and it is therefore necessary to be able to communicate well. Inform employees about the pests you want to avoid. You may want to show them what the pests look like. Remember to talk to the cleaning staff about what they should look for. Ask customers and distributors to send any pests that are found and determine them. Make sure that the information ends up with the one responsible for product quality. Indicate a positive attitude towards requests about pests in the products. Have frequent conversations with the people that are in charge of the integrated control, other employees and management. It is prudent that you agree on criteria for the control and monitoring. This obviously includes agreements with any professional exterminator. Exterminations with “guarantee” only make sense if there are agreed terms of the guarantee.
